Deck Tension Tie

The DTT tension ties are designed for lighter duty holddown applications and are ideal for retrofit or new construction projects.

DTT tension ties are single piece formed tension ties.

Timber Applications

The DTT2 fastens easily to the wide face of a single or double studs using Simpson Strong-Tie Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws (included) and accepts a 12 mm threaded rod or anchor bolt.

Light Gauge Steel Applications

DTT1Z provides a high strength, post pour, light guage steel to concrete connection.

Install with self-drilling screws to the LGS studs and single M10 anchor to the concrete

1. Performance values are based upon tests completed by Simpson Strong-Tie U.S. in accordance to ICC-ES AC261 - Acceptance criteria for connectors used with Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members.

2. Deflection at Load is the deflection of the holdown measured between the anchor bolt and the strap portion of the holddown when loaded to the stated tension load.

3. The engineer or designer shall be responsible for specifying suitable anchor type, embedment and configuration.

Installation

Use the specified number and type of fastener to connect the strap portioj of the tie to the Timber Stud or LGS Stud.

Connect the base to the foundation with a suitable anchor.  The Engineer or designer shall be responsible for specifying the anchor type, embedment and configuration.
